I’ve had a camera in my hand since childhood—thanks to a mother who beautifully documented our lives and a grandfather who kept a darkroom in his home. Their passion for photography became mine, and by grade school, I was already taking pictures of my friends on the playground, fascinated by the way an image could freeze a fleeting moment forever. Photography has always been more than a hobby to me—it’s been a way of connecting, remembering, and honoring the beauty of everyday life.
After earning a degree in sociology and spending six years in the high-tech world, everything shifted when I became a mom. Like many parents, I suddenly felt an urgency to capture my own family’s story—the little details that change so quickly yet mean so much. That passion grew into more than just personal memory-keeping. I decided to turn it into a business, and once I made that choice, I dove headfirst into study, workshops, and hands-on practice. I became obsessed with creating images that were not just beautiful, but intentional—photographs that felt timeless, personal, and true to the people in them.
Over the past 16 years, I’ve had the joy of photographing families as a Marin family photographer and, for more than a decade, working with women-led businesses as a Bay Area branding photographer. From family portraits in golden California light to branding photography sessions for women entrepreneurs, my goal is the same: to create photographs that feel authentic and empowering. I know firsthand how hard it is to juggle visibility and presence as a mom or business owner. That’s why I aim to make the process simple, enjoyable, and confidence-boosting.
Sixteen years in, I’m still deeply inspired by the power of photography to tell stories.
